The agency said in its weekly report, citing shipping data provided by Bloomberg Finance, that the total capacity of these 22 LNG vessels is 83 Bcf.
This compares to 27 shipments and 102 Bcf in the week ending September 18.
Average natural gas deliveries to US LNG export terminals decreased 0.3 Bcf/d from last week to 12.6 Bcf/d, according to data from S&P Global Commodity Insights.
Natural gas deliveries to terminals in South Louisiana increased by 1.2 percent (0.1 Bcf/d) to 7.8 Bcf/d, and natural gas deliveries to terminals in South Texas increased by 6.5 percent (0.3 Bcf/d) to 4.4 Bcf/d.
The agency said natural gas deliveries to terminals outside the Gulf Coast decreased by 56.5 percent (0.6 Bcf/d) to 0.5 Bcf/d.
During the week under review, Cheniere’s Sabine Pass plant shipped eight LNG cargoes, and the company’s Corpus Christi facility sent four shipments.
The Freeport LNG terminal and Sempra Infrastructure’s Cameron LNG terminal each shipped four cargoes, while Venture Global LNG’s Calcasieu Pass facility sent two cargoes during the week under review.
Also, the Cove Point LNG terminal and the Elba Island terminal did not ship cargoes during the week ending September 25.
The agency noted the Cove Point LNG export terminal in Lusby, Maryland, shut down operations around September 20 for planned annual maintenance that is scheduled to last about three weeks.
The Henry Hub spot price rose 29 cents from $2.33 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) last Wednesday to $2.62/MMBtu this Wednesday.
Moreover, the agency said the price of the October 2024 NYMEX contract increased 35.3 cents, from $2.284/MMBtu last Wednesday to $2.637/MMBtu this Wednesday.
The price of the 12-month strip averaging October 2024 through September 2025 futures contracts climbed 19.1 cents to $3.134/MMBtu.
The agency said that international natural gas futures were mixed this report week.
Bloomberg Finance reported that average front-month futures prices for LNG cargoes in East Asia decreased 37 cents to a weekly average of $13.03/MMBtu.
Natural gas futures for delivery at the Dutch TTF increased 10 cents to a weekly average of $11.54/MMBtu.
The agency said that in the same week last year (week ending September 27, 2023), the prices were $14.63/MMBtu in East Asia and $12.61/MMBtu at TTF.
