Bluestream, part of Aberdeen-based offshore contractor OEG Energy and its renewables business, has won a contract from Vattenfall and Stadtwerke München for a large remedial campaign on the DanTysk and Sandbank offshore wind farms in the German sector of the Southern North Sea.

Under the contract, Bluestream will provide subsea and topside services, leveraging their experience in operating with divers and rope access specialists on offshore energy infrastructure.

The remedial campaign, which will run for around 35 days, includes the replacement of impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) systems that prevent corrosion in the metal structure of the turbine foundation and tower, replacement of various reference cells, debris removal and sonar transponder exchanges.

Bluestream will charter the Go Electra multipurpose service vessel with an air dive spread and a Seaeye Tiger observation class ROV to deliver the scope.

The Den Helder-based offshore contractor was acquired by OEG in November 2023 for an undisclosed sum and retained its brand under OEG Renewables.

Located 90 km off the coast of Schleswig-Holstein and completed in 2014 and 2017, respectively, the DanTysk and Sandbank wind farms have a combined capacity of 576 MW and cover an area of 150 sq km with 152 turbines.
