Anglo American, Cargill, Eramet, Heidelberg Materials Trading, Trafigura, and Vale are among the who’s who of chartering attending the 2025 edition of Geneva Dry, the world’s premier commodities shipping conference scheduled for April 28 and 29 next year.

Giving a sneak peak of some of the early names to have booked up for the show, organisers today can also reveal some of the confirmed shipowners who will be taking the stage at the dry bulk summit next year. These include 2020 Bulkers, Cetus Maritime, CTM, Himalaya Shipping, Mandarin Shipping, Precious Shipping, Seanergy Maritime Holdings, SwissMarine, Taylor Maritime Investments, and Wah Kwong Maritime Transport Holdings.

Commented Grant Rowles, Geneva Dry’s co-founder, “With around six months to go, to have filled up so much of the conference agenda with top drawcard names is testament to how this event has been perceived and welcomed in the market.”

Building on the success of the first edition of the event, organisers are confident delegate numbers for next April’s gathering will surpass 800. With that figure in mind, the Geneva Dry team has already fixed special rate discounts at six hotels in the Swiss city, including at the Hotel President Hotel Wilson where the enlarged event is due to reconvene in just over 200 days.

Delegate numbers for next April’s gathering are set to surpass 800

With 31 sponsors already onboard and more than 100 delegates signed up, Geneva Dry 2025 is set to welcome back familiar sessions such as iron ore, coal, agri-commodities, minor bulks and dry decarbonisation, as well as featuring some new panels based on feedback from attendees to this year’s show. New sessions include a 50-minute special on forward freight agreements, a chartering spotlight, while digital efficiency drivers at port and then at sea will form the first two sessions on Day Two. Another new highlight will be a high-level discussion on electric vehicles and how they are supercharging dry bulk.
