KCA Deutag gets more drilling work off the UK

Drilling and engineering contractor KCA Deutag has won a batch of contract extensions offshore the UK.

The company said that the contract extensions were for work in the UK part of the North Sea and worth $16m.

The extensions come as part of a larger set of deals worth around $513m. These include new contracts and extensions for both onshore and offshore drilling projects in the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and the UK.

In the onshore part, KCA Deutag secured extensions in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Congo, and Colombia and a new contract in Iraq. All these together are valued at $497m which amount to over 35 rig years of additional work.
