L&T said Wendesday that its heavy engineering arm had won multiple orders in the third quarter of fiscal 2025 in the overseas and domestic markets.

In the overseas market, the company secured an order for LNG equipment for a project in the USA.

According to L&T, this is one of the largest LNG project orders.

The company did not provide further details regarding the order or the name of the project.

L&T previously won contracts for LNG projects.

This includes a contract awarded by India’s Petronet LNG in 2021 to build two storage tanks at the latter’s Dahej import terminal in Gujarat.

The US is the world’s largest LNG exporter and currently exports LNG via eight facilities, including Venture Global LNG’s Plaquemines LNG facility in Lousiana, which recently shipped its first cargo.

Cheniere also recently started production at the first train of the Corpus Christi Stage 3 expansion project in Texas.

Besides Cheniere’s Sabine Pass and Corpus Christi terminals, the US exports LNG via Venture Global’s Calcasieu Pass facility, Sempra Infrastructure’s Cameron LNG terminal, the Freeport LNG facility, the Cove Point LNG facility, and the Elba Island terminal.
